A woman with no memories of her past (Jane Doe), is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map of her tattoos into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity. A mysterious woman is found zipped up (alive) in a duffel bag, in Times Square. This Jane Doe has no memory of who she is or how she arrived there but is found to be nearly completely covered in cryptic tattoos. The FBI is called in to investigate, and the tattoos are revealed to be a mysterious 'treasure map' to preventing crime. The show has a lot of potential. The premise is kind of familiar (Blacklist or Person of Interest, but with tattoos instead of a mastermind or a machine)– but interesting enough. The actors are good, the woman playing the main character fills the screen well, the characters are somewhat interesting and have potential to develop in all kinds of ways if the show survives. Sadly, however, there are plot issues: the 'crisis' in each episode so far is clichéd and pretty ridiculous, and some of the action scenes are gratuitous (not needed by the plot) and preposterous – agent in a (boring and too-long) car chase does not see a RAMP in the road!! and just drives onto it!!?? flipping the vehicle!?!? Seen that HOW many times? I hope the writers develop a better plot sense, and the director or directors handle the 'need for speed' and the action sequences better, and substitute some good suspense and psychological action for the hammy stunts, or this show will lose my attention very quickly. I have see the first Season and I love it. Can't wait to see the next episode in January. Jane's story is very mysterious. All these tattoos she has. How can those who put it to him know in advance, or will happen, such a crime, or such an attack ?! I'm intrigued by Sandstrom but mostly by Shepherd. I find this woman very cold and calculator. She does not show love to her daughter and son and treats them like soldiers. But especially what phase 2 it is preparing. I think it's nothing good. I hope that Jane will be able to return to the FBI and continue to work with these colleagues. And Roman that is going to become now that his sister, injected him the ZIP ?!
